Jaguar gearboxes are designed to deliver refined luxury, sporty performance, and smooth torque delivery. Over the decades, Jaguar has used a range of transmissions including classic manual boxes, GM and Ford-sourced automatics, and more recently, ZF 6-speed and 8-speed automatics, which are widely regarded as best-in-class. Jaguar also employed dual-clutch and CVT systems in a few special cases.
